Experience

Andrea Scott is a Registered Social Worker who graduated from Laurentian University’s Indigenous Social Work program during the pandemic. She went on to complete her Master of Social Work at Laurentian in the Western practice stream.

Her early experience was rooted in supporting older adults living with mental health challenges. She later joined Brightshores Health System, working in Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM), Assertive Community Treatment (ACTT), and case management, where she provided outreach and support in Neyaashiinigmiing at the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation Health Centre.

Andrea completed her Master’s placement in an acute inpatient setting at Brightshores Health Systems, supporting individuals experiencing severe psychological distress. Today, she continues to work with diverse organizations, expanding her expertise and deepening her commitment to providing compassionate, person-centred care.
